Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I did not get a costume , can I be placed on a waiting list?
A: Please send us an email and we will put you on the waiting list. 
IMPORTANT: Costumes are limited. When they are sold out that's it.


Q: Is this an all-inclusive band?

A: Yes, it is.

Q: When do I need to pay for my costume?
A: You can immediately pay the full price for your costume at check-out. If you choose to pay in two payments, your first payment must be paid upon registration, otherwise your order will be incomplete and immediately cancelled. Costumes must be paid in full within ten (10) days after the first payment.

Q: How can I pay for my costume?
A: We accept Credit Cards, PayPal and you can also emails us at naru@soakedinsoca.comif you would like to make a bank transfer.

Q: What do I have to bring to Costume Distribution?
A: Please bring your costume invoice and your ID. Both are needed, no costume pick-up without either one.

Q: What do I get when I come to Costume Distribution?
A: You will receive your costume box, a Goody Bag with carnival 
essentials & band wristband.  Your costume is not complete 
without a wristband and masqueraders not wearing their wristband will be immediately removed from the band by security.

Q: Do you ship the costumes? Can somebody else pick-up my costume?
A: We do not ship and only offer pick-up on the specified distribution dates. At check-out you have the option to choose the location most convenient for you to receive your costume. Please let us know in advance if you intend to have someone other than yourself pick up your costume. We will need to confirm with you and this person before-hand to ensure that the right person receives your costume.

Q: When does registration close?
A: Costume registration closes 3rd June 2019. All balances must be cleared by this time.

Q: How much time do I have to pay my open balance?

A: You have ten (10) days after your first payment is made to pay your open balance.

Q: I missed my last payment date. What now?

A: If you think you would not make your last payment date contact us immediately. If we did not hear from you until after your last payment date, your costume goes to the first suitable person on our waiting list.

Q: Can I get a refund?

A: You can request a refund within ten (10) days of your full payment/first payment. If you make a request after this period, no refunds will be possible.

Q: Do I get my money back if the parade is canceled?

A: No. Refunds for this reason will not be possible. Only canceling within ten (10) days of initial payment qualifies you for a refund.

Q: I made an order but received no confirmation email.

A: Please check your jukmail or spam. It is highly possible that we were detected as spam since you never received an email from us in the past. If our email did go to junkmail/spam, please add us to your contact list to avoid you missing important emails from us in the future.

Q: Can I use my costume to join a band at other carnivals?

A: Our costume is made for use during Rotterdam Carnival 2019, in the Triniconnection group. To use your costume at any other Carnival is your choice and responsibility to get permission from the band you intend to join.
