WHAT'S YOUR FULL NAME?
HOW DID YOU GET YOUR ARTIST NAME?
"Well its based off of the Second meaning of Chromatics as in the “Science of Colours”. So me being a half white, half East-Indian, Trinbagonian doing Hip-Hop, Rapso, Soca and Calypso I think the name represents the ability to mix all those influences and cultures together. Is a science!"
WHAT IS YOUR NATIONALITY?
"Trinidadian but I am half Trinidadian, half British."
AT WHAT AGE DID YOU START SINGING?
"Well I’ve been singing all my life since primary school plays but I started writing my own songs around 12 years old."
WHERE DID YOU PERFORM YOUR FIRST SOCA SONG AND WHEN WAS THAT?
"Well on my first album “Against The Grain” I had a crossover groovy Soca track called “The Ballad” and I first performed it at a club called Pier 1 in Trinidad."
WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST MUSICAL INSPIRATION?
"Well my family. I have lots of cousins that play instruments and were in bands and my brother used to sing, play guitar and manage bands, so I was exposed to it at an early age."
HOW MUSICAL ARE YOU? WE NOW KNOW YOU WRITE BUT DO YOU PLAY ANY INSTRUMENTS, PRODUCE, ETC.?
"Writing is my main thing. I write all my own songs as I mentioned before, but I also write for others. I can play a little guitar but not much."
ARE YOU MARRIED?
"Not yet lol"
WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PERFORMANCE TO DATE?
"One of my most memorable performances would have been sharing the stage with Calypso icon Lord Relator and remixing one of his songs called “Radio Stations” live on stage with him."
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN FIVE YEARS?
"In five years the plan is to be performing throughout the globe and taking my unique blend of Rapso & Soca to new audiences."
CAN YOU COOK? IF YES, WHAT'S YOUR BEST DISH? IF YOU CAN'T COOK WHAT'S THE DISH YOU LOVE TO ORDER?
"Well, I can do a little thing lol. I usually cook healthy food cause I had to learn to cook that when I'm trying to stay healthy and cut down on my weight. My best dish is probably a baked Salmon or Sweet Potato Shepherds Pie."
LIFE OF THE PARTY OR YOU PREFER TO LAY BACK AND GO WITH THE FLOW?
"I'm more of a laid back kinda guy."
"I have this constant fear of performing on stage with my fly open! lol"
WHAT'S THE NEXT PROJECT WE CAN EXPECT FROM YOU?
"Well, after the Carnival Season I will be working on my next album “Hammer & Chisel” and releasing subsequent singles from that."
IF YOU HAD THE CHANCE TO MAKE ONE WISH A REALITY, WHAT WOULD THAT WISH BE?
"I would wish to eradicate racism from the hearts and minds of all the people in the world."
ANY LAST WORDS FOR THE PEOPLE OF EUROPE?
"See you soon!"
